Eating large amounts of the refined carbohydrates typically present in traditional pasta can lead to weight gain and nutrient deficiencies. However, taking in carbohydrates present in zucchini- “good carbohydrates” that are high in fiber- can decrease cholesterol and help burn fat.

Zucchini is also high in potassium, an essential mineral for a healthy heart. A 100g serving of zucchini contains almost 90% more potassium than a spaghetti serving of the same size.

Courgettes can easily be transformed into the shape of spaghetti noodles with the help of an inexpensive spiralizer or julienne peeler to make delicious low-carb pasta. While store-bought pasta can be a tasty comfort food, spiralizing courgettes yourself creates a home-made dish that doesn’t take a long time to make. It’s easy to pick unhealthy options when we’re strapped for time because they typically take less time and work. However, courgetti spaghetti can be made quickly and will leave you with little guilt about your dinner decision.
